REQUIRED: "Creating Local Arts Together: A Manual to Help Communities Reach Their Kingdom Goals" by Dr. Brian Schrag (William Carey Library, 2013)
The Manual for this course guides communities in their efforts to reflect more aspects of God’s kingdom. We’ve reduced the process to a flexible method called CLAT: Creating Local Arts Together
OPTIONAL: "Worship and Mission for the Global Church: An Ethnodoxology Handbook" by Krabill, Fortunato, Harris, and Schrag (William Carey Library, 2013)
The "Ethnodoxology Handbook" offers theological reflection, case studies, practical tools, and audiovisual resources to help the global church appreciate and generate culturally appropriate arts in worship and witness. From the expertise of over 100 practitioners from 20 countries, this volume integrates insights from the fields of ethnomusicology, biblical research, worship studies, missiology, and the arts.
OPTIONAL: "Abridged Manual" in various languages
Do you work with communities who speak languages other than English? This shortened version of the manual can help you to lead ABF discussions with those communities.**A free English version of this resource is provided if you register for this event.
